Admission Procedures

Admission Procedure :
For admission to B.A. 1st Semester candidates must apply in the prescribed form provided along with the prospectus. Prospectus can be obtained from the college office during office hours on all working days soon after the declaration of H.S. result. Important dates for collection of the prospectus, submission of the form, date of admission etc will be notified in the college notice board.
        The students desiring to undertake major in any subject must obtain at least 60% mark in the concerned subject and 50% in aggregate in the last qualifying examination. They will have to undergo a written selection test followed by an interview, counselling etc. to be held by concerned departments.
The Documents required for admission:
The following documents are required to furnish along with the filled-in application form.
i) Attested Xeroxed copies of mark sheet and certificates of last qualifying examinations.
ii) Caste certificate (for candidates belonging to ST / SC / OBC / MOBC)
iii) Gap certificate (for candidates who have passed the last qualifying examination earlier than the year in which admission is sought)
iv) Transfer certificate/character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended. (Wherever needed).
v) Registration certificate and Migration certificate (wherever needed) In the college, admission is offered to students purely on the basis of merit. Merit list of selected candidates will be hanged in the college notice board a few days before the admission.
* Candidates must produce original documents at the time of admission.
Change of subjects :
In order to change subjects after admission students can apply to the principal within one month from the date of admission. No further ‘change of subjects will be allowed after one month.
Attendance :
A student is required to attend at least, 75% of total working days. Students whose attendance is found below 60% will not be allowed to appear in any examination excepting those who participate in extra-curricular activities like sports, seminars and other cultural programmes with prior permission from the principal.
Students’ Identity card :
Students’ identity card will be issued to every student on the day of admission. Students must get one stamp size photo pasted on the space provided in the I-Card and must get signed by the principal. In case of loss or damage of l- Card a duplicate can be obtained on payment if applied to the principal.
