VISION AND MISSION

            Charaibahi College is the one and only higher educational institution in the eastern part of Morigaon District. It was established on 16th August, 1990 at the composite effort of a few farsighted visionary of the locality. The College is purely an Arts degree college located in a completely rural and peaceful area at the heart of greater Charaibahi region near Chandrapur Market, which is 15 km away from district head quarter, Morigaon. At present, the college offers seven subjects with six options for Honours course. In parallel, the college has introduced B.A. and M.A. programmes under IDOL, Gauhati University for the students who are unable to pursue regular mode of classes. The college introduced CBCS system from the Academic Session 2019-2020.
          The college was granted permanent affiliation for general course by Gauhati University in 2009. The college has been registered under 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act 1956 in the year 2012. It was provincialized by the State Government with effect from 1st January 2013.

To make the institution a hub of excellence of higher education for rural students of ethnic domain with a view to make them empowered to face and overcome the challenges in transforming the lives of the masses.

> To spread higher education among the people of rural areas of the district
> To impart higher education to the backward classes such as ST, SC, OBC/MOBC and minority categories of the area.
> To create environmental awareness and promote social commitment among its students.
> To create awareness for girls’ (women) education among the marginalized section of the society.
> To provide a platform for the students in sports and cultural activity
